TFHK is a system of balancing posture, attitude and life energy for greater comfort, vitality and enjoyment of your life.

Touch for Health falls under the branch of alternative and complementary therapy known as kinesiology – systems of healing that use manual muscle bio-feedback to determine which stimuli stress the body and how that stress can be decreased.

The Touch for Health model does not treat or diagnose symptoms, but works with the energy, lifestyle and aspirations of the client, offering a safe and effective way to maintain health, enhance well-being and upgrade performance.

Touch for Health is the most widely used system of kinesiology in the world.

It is recognised and respected as a fundamental training for other kinesiology systems as well as a healing modality in it’s own right.

Balancing the world, heart to heart

In 1988 the International Kinesiology College (IKC) organised its first International Conference in Switzerland, to share Touch for Health with the world.

In 2018, we are celebrating …

  • 30 years of well-being
  • Balancing and promoting good health throughout the world

… through the use of Touch for Health Kinesiology. Wow! that’s an amazing contribution to humanity.

Touch for Health in Cape Breton – “Take Touch for Health home with YOU!”

Beginning August 27 – September 1  Michelle will be sharing the 14 Muscle Dance with Cape Breton Island.  She will be travelling from beach to beach to grass to share the balance with all of her dancers, as well as anyone else who would like to tag along.  Our goal…to see how many people will be able to do the 14 Muscle Dance on September 30th from 11am to 1 pm  and join the World Record for the most people and countries doing Touch for Health at one time all together.  Join Michelle on one of the local beach locations in August to learn the 14 movements, then on September 29th, gather a group of friends and join Michelle live on Facebook to do the balance together while she shares these tools at the Healthy Dancer Canada conference in Toronto.  How can you be counted?  After the event on September 29th, send an email to Michelle at info@dancedebut.com, and let her know how many people gathered at your location – send a picture if you could – and she will forward the final number to the International Kinesiology Association to be counted.

Dance Debut will be celebrating this monumental milestone for Touch for Health – 30 years with Dance Debut and 30 years of Touch for Health – by implementing a special program for dancers this year.  Stay tuned for all the details in the coming weeks.  Kinesiology for Kids will be a program for parents and preschoolers to have wellness tools at their fingertips.  Dancers in the program this year:  “DANCE, it’s a Natural Thing!” will have the opportunity to gain a Level 1 Touch for Health certificate from the International Kinesiology College to help promote Specialized Kinesiology for Youth – SKY on Facebook.  It is going to be an incredible year of making Dance a daily part of your life with Specialized Kinesiology as a part of the program, as it has been in Dance Debut programming for over 15 years.
