Breathing and Tai Chi

As we continue the series for Tai Chi Wellness and the Seated Form Series, we dive into some of the special nuances of Tai Chi that make it special for the system.

Breath is vital to our ability to relax and center. We need to be breathing deeply within the body and opening and closing the ribs, muscles, tendons, fascia etc with each breath. It may not seem like much, but together there is an orchestra of movements and actions that are instigated with deep breathing and together they cleanse the body and change the way we feel and act. All this from a little air exchange!
