As I witnessed chemical disinfectant being sprayed on all the surfaces where hands go at one of the schools I teach at, I realized that the act of spraying is putting the cleaner into the air, it is drying on the surface and little hands will touch it and put it into their mouths. As this experiment shows below….this is not our answer. Soap and water can be more effective, and essential oils can have a 99.96% success rate at killing germs without putting toxic chemicals in our air, or onto our skin. Please consider how you plan to disinfect your loving homes, and the places where our children spend their entire day….school!
Essential oils that can be used include tea tree, lavender, and eucalyptus. Thieves, a compilation from Young Living oils has proven to be more effective than disinfectants, according to Weber State University. Do Terre has a blend called Strength.
Check out this study done in a school comparing dirty hands, disinfected hands and soap and water hands….very interesting!
