Neck Posture – How well are you supporting your body in your daily actions?

In an effort to understand how the fascia supports the muscles and the skeleton of the body, this little chart appeared. Depending on how the posture is stacked up, the weight of the head can significantly change the load on the system, as well as the flow of lymph from the brain to the body, blood through the circulatory system, and wear and tear on the tissue. In Tai Chi we lift the head to float above the neck and through the fascia movement in the Tai Chi movements, the body realigns itself without mental effort to try and keep the posture straight. Daily activities can change the posture back if there are bad habits, but these can be easily changed if the desire is there.
