Look what Dance Debut has planned for the celebrations!

Wed. April 22 6:30 pm Dance off to Bed, a Facebook Live event for Preschoolers and Parents to engage in special activities to help with bed time. You will need your pajamas, magical slippers to dance in, and imagination. If you want to build a special fort to read the story in, that would be great!

Thursday, April 23 9:45 AM Creating a dance space that makes you shine! Join us on zoom (invites in the Dance Debut newsletter update or by request). Creating a costume box, dancing with props, creating the stage space and creating your own choreograph. For dancers 7 yrs and up!

Friday, April 24 6:30 PM J-A-Z-Z Challenge! Join us for a chance to copy a dance step and win or lose letters of achievement. Be sure to practice your piroettes, jetes, splits, kicks and chaines for this game. Join us on zoom (invites in the Dance Debut newsletter update or by request). Last week’s T-A-P Challenge saw Mr. MacKenzie and Miss Michelle lose out to the dancers. How will you win?!

Monday, April 27 12:00 PM Dancing with “Stacey on the Keyboard”! Over the last few weeks we have read the storybook (which you can locate an ebook version on www.dancedebut.com in the shop), and now we can play with choreography, dance and games! Preschoolers are invited to join us on Facebook Live for this fun activity during National Dance Week! Note the time adjustment to allow for more dancers to join us from across the country!

Tuesday, April 28 1:00 PM Sharing Tips and Tools for Teachers Wondering about creative teaching ideas, ways to assist attention challenges, coordination problems, technique building? Become a part of the conversation in this special event. Michelle has over three decades of experience in traditional dance techniques, somatic dance, and brain/body connections. Join the conversation and create new friendships in support of the optimum learning opportunities for our students!

Wednesday, April 29 12:00 PM Kitchen Party Flash Mob Ever want to be a part of those events when dance just breaks out in a train station, in a garden square, at a resort or play ground? Well, this is the Kitchen Party Flash Mob. Join in by Facebook Live to be ready to dance in your kitchen. Prepare for the Pots and Pans band, Making music with jugs of water, Blasting your favorite music, and Dancing with those who share the house with you. Dance ideas will be shared, picture taking and sharing will be encouraged, and of course, posting videos of your fun would be awesome too! Stand up to be counted and let’s see how many can join in our Flash Mob! Celebrating International Dance Day!
