It is through the use of the breath that we are able to find space in between the inhale and exhales. Once awareness of the breath is achieved, it can be expanded into the moves as well. Exploring when breath stops by freezing rather than pausing is essential to understanding where stress is put on the body and how it will respond.

A cup of tea (iced or hot) can bring us to a few moments to “catch our breath,” and begin the relaxation process. When you do stop to take a break, think about getting the breath to a place of no effort and nice and deep. This begins the process of bringing the body into balance and harmony while it is feeling safe and secure.
