Dance Programs for the Fall of 2021

Hello Dancers and Parents!

It has been quite a year for sure with the dance programs. I was waiting to hear the latest for the school districts to know how to proceed with classes for this fall. Unfortunately we will not have the privilege’s of the stages within the schools as yet. I know that things are continually changing, and so we will continue to wait.

Some of you have asked about halls and other locations. A proper floor is key to both tap and jazz techniques, so this is a consideration, as well as how many I can put in a class at one time with social distancing measures. So far, this does not leave me with a feasible plan to implement. The gift of funding last year through the Arts Education program supported by the Cape Breton Partnership was truly a gift as we were able to offer two classes in Port Hawkesbury for two sessions. Unfortunately, at this time I do not have the same opportunity so I regret to say that at this time the Dance Debut in-person programs will be on hold.

Should plans change, I will be posting here the latest updates. There will be other programs and workshops that I will trying to implement through my wellness programs. I am teaching an adult online tap class on Tuesdays for those that might be interested.

Tai Chi has moved to Creignish Hall from Port Hawkesbury on Wednesday evenings, and to the Inverness Arts Center on Monday mornings.

More to come and thank you for your patience.
