“Eggs and Peacocks”
Music: “Bird Tales” by Norman Foote, “Shake a Leg” album
For each movement repeat the action as slowly as possible with 3 repetitions for children and 5 –
7 repetitions for adults.
Opening: Beginning like a bird in an egg, all curled up but standing on feet (flat if possible), open and
spread wings like a new bird ready to fly – as spread wings with arms, open feet wide as come to a
standing position, push out belly button and extend lower back out.
One point of the star with each turn: 1. Open right arm out wide and with strength pull in and cross the
midline with a fisted hand. 2. Repeat with left arm. 3. Close knees together and then extend right hip
forward to stretch down the front of the right side. 4. Repeat with Left hip…
